CEMF Regional Awards
CEMF offers up to five $5,000 annual awards to Canadian women in engineering at the undergraduate level.
There is one undergraduate award for each region and to be eligible, applicants must be enrolled at a university in the region:
- British Columbia
CEMF Rona Hatt Chemical Engineering Award
The Foundation named this award after the first known woman in Canada who became a chemical engineer. The Foundation offers one $5,000 annual award in Canada to a woman enrolled in a chemical engineering program.
CEMF Marie Carter Memorial Award
The Foundation is pleased to offer a $5,000 award in memory of Marie Carter, P.Eng., to a Canadian woman in engineering at the undergraduate level of study. Applicants can be studying in any field of engineering.
Hatch Engineering Award
Supports women studying engineering full-time in a Quebec university with a $10,000 undergraduate scholarship (over two years). Hatch can opt to include a summer job opportunity/internship as part of this award. If offered, Hatch will work with the award recipient to find a position that is mutually acceptable to both parties at the experience level, skill level and remuneration equal to the award winners' abilities.
Zayo Group Award
In partnership with Zayo, CEMF provides one $5,000 annual award to a Canadian woman studying engineering at an undergraduate level. Applicants can be studying in any field of engineering, but must demonstrate a desire to work in information and communication technology.
In partnership with Dillon Consulting Limited, CEMF provides one $5,000 annual award to a Canadian woman in engineering at the undergraduate level. Applicants must already be enrolled full-time in an accredited engineering program at a Canadian university, and cannot be in their final year of study. Applicants can be studying in any field of engineering.

- Must self-identify as a female
- Possess Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency Status
- Be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited Engineering Program within Canada and cannot be in their final year of study.
