Awards for Women in Engineering
John Evans Engineering Entrance Award
John Evans, P.Eng was a Director and Vice-President of the Foundation, a committed supporter of women in engineering and a CEMF scholarship judge. His legacy included a donation for an award to be made to a young Canadian woman entering an accredited engineering program in Canada from high school and it is not based on academic achievement.
Our Claudette MacKay-Lassonde award will be of interest to those who wish to earn their Ph.D. in engineering.
If you wish to continue your engineering studies we offer a Master's level award with summer employment.
We offer a number of awards for women studying engineering in Canada ranging in amounts from $5,000 to $10,000.
The John Evans Champion Awards
A $250 monetary award will be made to selected applicants with exceptional qualifications in recognition of their leadership and community activities.
In 2016, one of these with be awarded to a student from the University of Manitoba selected by the scholarship judges and funded by the Manitoba Regional Office of the WSP Group.
