Supporting diversity, encouraging leadership and making a tangible difference – together the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation (CEMF) and Vale are committed to helping talented young women shape the future of the engineering profession.
From CEMF's very inception Vale stepped forward, serving as a strong and valued partner in supporting women engineering students through scholarship and networking opportunities.
Today, 20 years later, Vale remains a valued scholarship partner, providing the Vale Undergraduate and Vale Masters Scholarships in Engineering for women with an interest in the mining and metallurgical field. Vale also offers professional engineering experience to its scholarship recipients through a unique summer job opportunity program. All scholarship recipients are selected based on the qualities of leadership, community volunteerism, and the ability to be true ambassadors for the engineering profession.
