services to CEMF, enabling the Foundation to focus on its mandate of its
providing scholarships to women in engineering.

|
Engineers Canada has generously
donated its accounting services, translation
services and staff support to the Foundation since 1990 and is the longest CEMF partner.
Historically, Engineers Canada also provided the
office space for CEMF, now located in Renfrew,
Ontario. Each year, Engineers Canada
has welcomed Foundation scholarship winners as guests to their Annual
General Meeting, provided the Foundation with an Awards Luncheon to honour
the winners and acknowledge its sponsors. Winners are treated,
by Engineers Canada, to the Friday Fun Night and invited to
attend the gala supper. The strong support of
Engineers Canada has enabled the Foundation to grow from the original five
scholarships to the 16 offered today.

Foundation, since 2006

accommodation costs for the recipient of the Claudette MacKay-Lassonde
Scholarship to attend the Foundation's Annual Award Luncheon

The Foundation thanks the
Lassonde Family Foundation for its ongoing support of its PhD
winner, which allows the recipient to be honoured at this
important event dedicated to recognizing her, and fellow
recipients, accomplishments.
The initiative to establish CEMF was taken by Claudette
MacKay-Lassonde, P.Eng., then President of the Professional
Engineers of Ontario, together with a number of other concerned
female engineers. You are invited to go
here for more information about this leader who was
instrumental in the founding of the Foundation.

Division for the Advancement of Women in Engineering and Geoscience
(DAWEG), a division of the Association of Professional Engineers
and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC) held a memorial
gathering on December 6, 2006.

and donated to CEMF to support its scholarship programs.
CEMF thanks DAWEG for its support. DAWEG
was founded in 1991 to address specific issues facing women in
Engineering and Geoscience. Since then, the volunteer organization has
implemented numerous programs to promote and encourage women to
participate in the fields of Engineering and Geoscience. DAWEG
